Oftentimes, damage to a home is a cumulative process of wear and tear over time, less-than-perfect repairs and issues that lurk beneath the surface. Yet these challenges are far from insurmountable.

Palmer's Project Objectives and Challenges

A thorough residential inspection report identified numerous structural deficiencies and wood-boring insect damage in this 95-year-old frame house. Some of the deficiencies also were due to poor quality repairs and undetected water leaks over the years.

Solutions

To correct settling problems and restore structural soundness, band sills, floor joists and framing members were replaced, several brick masonry piers were installed, and the house was hydraulically lifted in several areas.
This project was completed in one week.
