With a growing family in a neighborhood and location they love, the client decided on a home expansion over the garage area. The design/build project, involved building up and out over the garage, adding 762 square feet of heated space and enlarging the garage 171 square feet. The new space added a large bonus room, bedroom, full bathroom, two large storage closets, a separate staircase and a very functional mud room. Enlarging the front and side of the garage made parking more convenient while adding storage capacity. The result was a wonderful addition of functional space, in a great, convenient neighborhood, which blends perfectly into the original home’s construction.
