Buzz Bathroom Remodel

Before After

As you can see from the before photograph on left, this bathroom was very outdated with a large amount of space being occupied by a garden tub that would never be used. The new owners wanted major changes.

The bathroom was completely gutted except for the double vanity cabinets. A new white marble vanity top was installed. New 16 x 16 porcelain tiles were installed diagonally on the bathroom floor. Porcelain 12 x 12 tiles were installed on the shower walls and 6 x 6 tiles on the shower floor. A glass block window unit replaced the old window and provides nice natural lighting and privacy. A large 4 x 8 foot shower was designed with a large piece of floor to ceiling clear glass as a center accent. No shower doors were needed because of the size of the shower and location of showerheads. Double showerheads were installed on separate end walls; one stationary and one adjustable. Tile shelving was built into the shower for convenience and storage. New white double doors were installed on the bathroom closet with beautiful glass knobs. A drop down soffit over the vanity area was designed specifically for can lights, which were needed for vanity lighting. The water closet was enlarged and the door reversed to make more accessible. A new mirror was hung over each vanity and nickel faucets were installed for an updated accent. The drawer and door fronts on the vanity were replaced and finished with an Antique Buttermilk faux painted finish. Two vanity side sconces also added a nice decorative accent and additional lighting.
