PALMER CUSTOM BUILDERS WIN CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR 2001 AWARD (COTY) FOR Residential Kitchen Upfit Under $30,000

Palmer Custom Builders was awarded the 2001 COTY award for the Buzz Residential Kitchen Upfit under $30,000. This award was presented to Palmer Custom Builders and accepted by Gary Palmer at a banquet on October 25, 2001. The Annual Contractor of the Year judging is hosted by the Charlotte Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry and attracts top area contractors.

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Charlotte Chapter invites its contractor members to compete for the prestigious Annual Contractor of the Year (COTY) Awards in recognition of their achievements for completed projects in certain categories.

Palmer Custom Builders confirms kitchens are always popular remodeling projects among homeowners, and the contractors who entered this year’s COTY contest made the kitchens the most crowded-and competitive-categories.

An impartial panel of judges who are experts from within the industry and associated fields selects winners. This years judges included architects, Tom Giblin, Chip Leaf, Kent Alan Lineberger and Reg Narmour--, and Allen Norwood, Home Editor, with the Charlotte Observer. All entries were judged on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.
