Palmer Custom Builders is unique in that we specialize in remodeling and repair projects, as well as in building new custom homes. We enjoy being involved in all of our projects from conception to completion. Remodels, additions, renovations and repairs - which all involve an existing structure - can present challenges and complexity that are not a concern in new construction. You can be confident that we have seen and successfully dealt with almost every situation in our more than 30 years of residential construction experience, and we welcome new challenges to solve - no matter how simple or complex your project is.

Gary Palmer's Unlimited Contractors License in both North Carolina and South Carolina means that we are not limited in the scale and scope of projects we tackle. Palmer Custom Builders can construct projects that range from the very small to those with unlimited dollar values. Some remodelers are restricted to handling much smaller projects based on their general contracting license limits. Our Unlimited License also signifies that Palmer Custom Builders has passed extensive financial reviews and demonstrated continued financial stability. We follow solid business practices
Based on our decades of experience, Palmer Custom Builders has created a carefully designed and proven Construction/Remodeling Process to keep projects on track. We provide every client with a 17-page Remodeling and New Construction Guide to ensure that they understand the process we will be going through from the very beginning. In addition, we follow our own written Best Practices and Procedures guidelines that are continually being refined based on our in-field experiences. In-house Construction Project Management Software simplifies complex scheduling and ordering mechanisms and ensures that timeliness is maintained. Per our clients' preferences, our projects can also conform to "green" standards and strategies taken directly from the American Society of Interior Designers Regreen Residential Remodeling Guidelines 2008.
We solve problems before they occur
We plan for your concerns, such as having access to your home, minimizing and controlling dust, disposal of construction debris, placement of a dumpster (if needed), and minimizing disruptions through proper planning and scheduling. We isolate the project from the rest of your house as much as possible. We remain sensitive to issues that may affect you, your neighbors and your pets. We work with your neighbors to maintain access to their homes and keep the street and job site clean.

We literally start from the drawing board and think through the entire project from start to finish before any work starts, and everything is spelled out in a very detailed contract before your project begins.
